Changing the lighting with Picasa:
I chose my evening picture from the Lighting assignment we did for Unit 1. This pic was the darkest of my pictures so I thought it would be a good choice. I had to play with Picasa for a little bit before I was able to get something I really liked. I didn't really change the color temperature because it would either just make the photo more blue if I went to the left, and more yellow when I went to the right. The other thing I did not change much (although I did slightly) was the shadows. The more right I moved the shadow button, the darker the photo was. The highlight button definitely made my photo a lot brighter. I moved that button a little past halfway, but noticed if I went to far, it faded the siding on the house all to one color, and you really could not see the siding.
Cropping with Picasa:
The photo I chose to crop was one that used for my Rule of Thirds assignment from Unit 1. I watched the video on YouTube about cropping using Picasa and stayed with choosing a 4x6 size to crop, and just clicked on the picture and had to drag my mouse on what I wanted to crop.
